Description

This Brodbeck Ironworks Disc Sander Attachment uses a sanding belt to drive a precision ground 9-inch disk plate. Add a disk grinder to your workshop without the need to buy a new motor and VFD, and without taking up the space needed for a whole new machine. Perfect for flattening bevels on knives, as well as shaping of timber blocks and faceted handles.

Available in either kit form or (by special order) as a fully painted and assembled unit, it comes with a mounting bracket, drive wheel, 9-inch plate, and all the necessary hardware to mount on either your Brodbeck Ironworks platen arm, or Brodbeck Ironworks quick-change accessory arm.

Please note: A variable speed drive system is required for this attachment. The disk sander attachment must not be operated above a setting of 40 on the VFD to avoid exceeding the ball bearings’ maximum rated speed.
