Smaller Footprint

With a footprint only slightly larger than a typical 2 x 48” belt grinder, you can now experience all the benefits of a leading 2 x 72” belt grinder in less workshop space. Measuring just 580mm (front to back) x 330mm wide, the Reaper 72 is one of the most compact interchangeable accessory belt grinders available.

 

Longer Platen

At 300mm, the Reaper 72 has one of the longest platens of any interchangeable accessory belt grinder on the market. Flatten blades, handle blocks and other items easily and accurately. The larger surface area allows more material to contact the belt with consistent, even pressure.

 

All Metal Wheels

Precision machined aluminium wheels offer improved wear resistance and longer service life. Slightly crowned, these wheels ensure excellent tracking and stability while you grind. Aluminium wheels have become the industry standard due to their high durability and will assist in reducing your maintenance costs over the life of your belt grinder.

 

Fast Speeds

Achieve higher belt speeds without sacrificing torque with the large 150mm aluminium drive wheel, combined with the variable speed drive. Faster belt speeds will give quicker stock removal and allow you to attain better performance from your ceramic belts.

 

Accurate Tracking

The Reaper 72 has belt tracking on par with the world’s best. The tracking wheel pivots in line with your belt, providing excellent tracking accuracy and stability, while minimising twisting and stretching of the grinder belt. Tracking is easily adjusted using the large handwheel and will remain steady even during heavy grinding.

 

Versatile

The Reaper 72 accepts standard 40mm and 1.5” square tool arms, giving you access to a huge range of accessories from leading manufacturers. This includes all current 40mm tool arms and related accessories in our range, as well as an exciting new range of accessories coming soon.

 

Powerful Variable Speed

A 2hp (1.5kw) motor comes prewired with your choice of two VFDs, allowing you to run a powerful 3-phase motor from a standard household power point (240v 10a). Choose between our budget-friendly, compact Artisan Essentials VFD, or our premium UK-made Techtop commercial-grade VFD. Both VFDs offer a high IP rating for use in dusty environments and are rated for 3hp (2.2kw) maximum output, making them ideal for this belt grinder.

 

Tool-free Adjustment

Make adjustments and accessory changes quickly and easily using the German-made Kipp adjustable machinery handles, which eliminate the need for additional tools.

 

Plug and Play

Prewired, pre-programmed and painted. Mount your motor and drive wheel, put on a grinding belt from the included free abrasive belt kit, and you will be up and grinding in no time.
