Description

Kalderum Blades San Mai Steel Bar with “Crossline” Pattern *K001. Made with a Böhler K720 core (1.2842 (equiv to O2)) and stainless steel cladding, which has been straightened, fine-grained, normalized and soft-annealed, as well as chemically descaled.

Dimensions are approx. 275 x 70 mm and 4.5mm thick. (dimensions are slightly smaller than the actual pieces, as 1-2 mm of the edge area is unusable)

This is a unique one-off piece of steel made by Kalderum Blades from Austria.

Heat treatment instructions:

Heat steel at 830ºC for 10 minutes then Oil quench. Tempter at 170-200ºC for two hours, twice.

These instructions are also supplied with the steel bar.
