Description

Kalderum Blades San Mai Damascus Steel Bar *K012. Made with Apex Ultra core, damascus cladding, and nickel shim. This bar has been straightened, fine-grained, normalized and soft-annealed, as well as chemically descaled.

Dimensions are approx. 350 x 65/40 mm (including tang), and 3.7mm thick. (dimensions are slightly smaller than the actual pieces, as 1-2 mm of the edge area is unusable)

This is a unique one-off piece of steel made by Kalderum Blades from Austria.

Heat treatment instructions:

Heat steel at 830ºC for 10 minutes then Oil quench. Tempter at 170-200ºC for two hours, twice.

These instructions are also supplied with the steel bar.
