Carbon Fibre Rod / Pin Stock for knife handles. Sold in 300mm lengths.

Carbon fibre has a high strength to weight ratio, a high tensile strength, is resistant to corrosion and very durable.

The best way to cut carbon fibre is with a high speed abrasive cutoff wheel, or even against the edge of your belt grinder platen; not with a saw. Due to the nature of the material, it may splinter if you try to cut it with a saw, especially a hand saw, so care must be taken when cutting. Using tape around the location of the cut will also help prevent splintering.

• 1/8″ (3.18 mm)
• 5/32″ (3.97 mm)
• 3/16″ (4.76 mm)
• 1/4″ (6.35 mm)

WARNING: These rods are unidirectional carbon fibre, not woven. They have very high stiffness but low crushing strength so great care must be taken when holding the part while cutting. It is not recommended to clamp them.
