Black Linen Micarta Scales, 2 scales each measuring approximately 9.5 mm (3/8″) x 38 mm x 135 mm.
Micarta is a composite material that consists of layers of canvas, linen, or paper in a matrix of thermoset phenolic resin. It is very tough and makes for a strong handle material, as it is resistant to heat and solvents. It is heavier then wood, but lighter then G10 and it can be easily cut, sanded, and drilled. Micarta can be brought to a matt finish, sandblasted for grip or brought to a high polish to show off the weave in the layers of fabric.
